Customer Showoff

I absolutely love it when I get pictures back from customers!

It's so worth all the work you put into the item when you see it being enjoyed!

This is Leilani and she's wearing one of my infant flower headbands.
Isn't she precious?!

Felt Flower Tutorial

Many of you asked me yesterday how to make the flowers I put on my wreath, and if they were easy.

The answer is YES! they are easy!!

I followed a tutorial from Little Things Bring Smiles, which is a beautiful blog by the way!

In her tutuorial she shows you how to make all of these different shapes of felt flowers.

And all I did to make the flowers bigger than the ones shown here was to combine two flowers that I cut out.
After I rolled one flower, I took the second flower I cut out and kept rolling on the same flower.
This will make more sense when you read the tutorial! :)

Other than that, I just cut my own leaves in the shape that I wanted them and hot glued them all on!

Hope this helps!!

Yarn Wreath

While we have been moving the past couple of weeks, I made time for one craft ;)

I was dying to make a yarn wreath for the fall.

I decided to go with a carrot orange yarn, and used brown and cream felt for the flowers.

Here's how it turned out...

I LOVE IT!!

It's the perfect addition to our new little porch.

Now I just need a few pumpkins :)

restful sunday

Hi everyone!

Hope you all have a restful Sunday today, and a great labor day weekend!

We'll probably be moving into our house some more, so I don't know how "restful" ours will be, but it's okay :)

You can still rest in spirit and think about the good, and praise God for what he has blessed you with!

Our House {Vintage}

On Tuesday, we closed on our house!!!

We were soooo excited, we had a count down going.

Here's a few pics of our humble abode without boring you with blank wall photos. ha!

I just can't wait to start moving... and better yet decorating!
All of which will hopefully happen this weekend!

Speaking of decorating....

Over at Gussy's today, her inspiration is vintage!!

and o how you KNOW my love for VINTAGE!

So here's some vintage inspiration I found for the house...

I love this stand up vintage mirror just resting against the wall. I'm gonna have to go searching for one similar for our bedroom!

This collection of vintage frames on the mantle is such a pretty idea. Not to mention I have some great beach photos from our honeymoon ;)

I just love this little table and how a collection of vintage treasures is on it!

LOVE this idea of putting a vintage mirror over the sink! Will have to do!!

And this bedroom is so lovely...
We have a similar bedspread from Anthro already, and I've got the perfect window to hang! Alright!!

So stay tuned,
I'll be posting before and after's as I finish rooms!

Thanks for sharing in this journey with me!
