Things have been a bit busy here lately. My comprehensive exam for grad school is this Friday!! So I've been studying a lot, hence the lack of posts. :/
I also got to make a sweet newborn beanie and baby blanket for a wonderful friend!
Little Andrew has had some complications since being in the womb. The doctors gave his parents the news that he may not survive outside of the womb, or would have dwarfism when they went for their sonogram to find out the sex.
Since then, our church family has prayed hard for baby Andrew and his sweet parents. We've prayed for him to be healed. Specifically for his legs to be lengthened, his spine to be straight, they fluid to be removed and for him to be able to breathe on his own.
Andrew came on his own timing yesterday and had no fluid, a perfect little face and a strong heart!
They were still worried about his breathing and had x-rays done to see if his ribs were fully developed. Today the results came in and showed that his ribs were developed, his brain functioning looked great and he seemed to be a healthy baby that would breathe on his own!! What a MIRACLE baby! God is so faithful to provide healing for his children.
His parents are requesting prayer still for his spine since they will probably have to operate and the place of operation is very sensitive. Pray for that to be healed as well!
This is my FAVORITE thing about owning an etsy shop, crocheting, etc. Some days I ask my self .... should I continue to do this? But at times like these, I love being a part of people's lives and stories.
While it may be something small, the ability to provide some kind of comfort to a little one and his family is priceless. It's no longer just making a hat...it's making a hat for a baby boy to wear at the hospital while he gets well. One of the few things he can have of his own there.
So please PLEASE keep this family in your prayers for it is by this and God's glory that Andrew is here! Thank you Karis for the precious photos!
