My Inspiration

Over at Gussy Sews, she's been having weekly inspiration workshops.

This week's prompt is your own inspiration!

While I receive inspiration from many places: my family, crocheting, all things vintage, great photography, etc.

...I decided today to talk about another very special source of inspiration for me...

which is children.

I'm in graduate school right now to become a Speech-Language Pathologist, and I work with children everyday.

Children have so much life in them, even the ones with disorders...

they inspire me to find joy in the little things like blowing bubbles, laughing with a friend, reading a book, going outside, pretend play, experiencing something for the first time...

Sunshine

Today, over at Gussy Sews, is the 7th week of her inspiration workshop!

It's been so fun to join in!

This weeks prompt is "sunshine".

I love the sunshine, and am so thankful for it! I am definitely NOT a cold weather gal. I like it sunshiney and bright down here in the south.

I always think of how I wanted the sunshine to be apart of Jerry and I's wedding, by having it outside.

Our engagement and bridal photos also captured the sunshine so beautifully!

We also loooove the beach and all of it's sunshine glory, sooo we went to a place full of it...St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands!

So go out and enjoy the sunshine today!



Animals

I have an extreme love for animals. My heart just melts over them. Hate to admit it, but I get more sad in a movie if something happens to an animal than a person. Terrible!

Someone had a Birthday

It was Jerry's birthday last week, and his sister and nieces came into town.

We all baked him some yummy yummy Cookies and Cream Oreo Cupcakes!

The girls looooved doing the icing.

If you give a 4 year old icing....this is what she'll do with it...

(my kind of girl)

They turned out so cute!

He had a great birthday!

Pamper Yourself

So for the Inspiration Workshop this week the prompt is "Pamper".

Well... while I do enjoy a manicure and pedicure.... I also pamper myself by getting coffee.

Another thing that I pamper myself with is buying things that make my house smell lovely! Whether it be new dish soap, or countertop spray, or a candle.....this is my new favorite!
