Christmas Card Photos

jerry and i took some christmas card photos a few weeks ago in a fall mini session with jill harper of Selah Photography!

the photos turned out so great and the farm where we took them at was so charming...

we had a lot of fun that day looking at the animals and buying fresh eggs and granola!

jill did a wonderful job, as did lauren of Simple Lovelies, who styled the shoot.

here are a few favs, but i'm saving some for later as well ;)

Restful Sunday

Sunday is my day to rest. I purposefully take this day and plan nothing! It's hard to do with school work, errands, and housework that needs to be done. But, I take this day to relax and spend time with the Lord, knowing and trusting Him that he will give me the strength for the other 6 days of the week.

So I'm going to start putting up a restful picture every Sunday to remind myself and you all. :)

This weeks prompt is "sunshine".

I love the sunshine, and am so thankful for it! I am definitely NOT a cold weather gal. I like it sunshiney and bright down here in the south.

I always think of how I wanted the sunshine to be apart of Jerry and I's wedding, by having it outside.

Our engagement and bridal photos also captured the sunshine so beautifully!

We also loooove the beach and all of it's sunshine glory, sooo we went to a place full of it...St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands!

So go out and enjoy the sunshine today!

Weekend Breakfast

 Our weekend was spent with Jerry's family who came and visited us!

We hung out, cooked together, went to the movies, watched Jerry play co-ed softball, and Saturday morning my sister-in-law made this wonderfully delicious pavlova log!

It was like dessert for breakfast!

It turned out so pretty, and we had a great family breakfast together eating it!
