Christmas Card Photos

jerry and i took some christmas card photos a few weeks ago in a fall mini session with jill harper of Selah Photography!

the photos turned out so great and the farm where we took them at was so charming...

we had a lot of fun that day looking at the animals and buying fresh eggs and granola!

jill did a wonderful job, as did lauren of Simple Lovelies, who styled the shoot.

here are a few favs, but i'm saving some for later as well ;)

Updated Fall To-Do List

1. Make a wreath.

2. Go to the state fair!

3. Make pumpkin bread.

4. Fix a cozy blanket basket.

5. Put pumpkins out on front porch.

6. Paint nails a fall-ish color.

7. Get pictures taken for Christmas card!

8. Make beanies, slouchy hats and cowls for etsy shop!

9. Get new boots.

10. Enjoy the falling leaves from the trees at our new house.

(they haven't started falling yet!)

Life Made Lovely {Pumpkin Bread}

I've already checked off another item on my Fall To-Do List!

I made some yummy pumpkin bread yesterday.

The recipe made three loaves, so this one got wrapped up for our neighbors!

Make something lovely today!

Fall To-Do List

Every year I make a fall to-do list!

You can see my one from last year here.

So here's the 2011 list:

1. Make a wreath.

2. Go to the state fair.

3. Make pumpkin bread.

4. Fix a cozy blanket basket.

5. Put pumpkins out on front porch.

6. Paint nails with a fall-ish color, you know.... brown, maroon, etc. :)

7. Get pictures taken for Christmas card!! (this makes me VERY excited)

8. Make beanies, slouchy hats and cowls for etsy shop!! YAY!

9. Get new boots.

10. Enjoy the falling leaves from the trees at our new house.

Yarn Wreath

While we have been moving the past couple of weeks, I made time for one craft ;)

I was dying to make a yarn wreath for the fall.

I decided to go with a carrot orange yarn, and used brown and cream felt for the flowers.

Here's how it turned out...

I LOVE IT!!

It's the perfect addition to our new little porch.

Now I just need a few pumpkins :)



Fall

I love fall.

The colors, the cool air, the food, the holidays quickly approaching...What's not to love?

In celebration, I'd like to share my Fall to-do list:

1. Cook this meal. The honey butter looks delicious.

2. I have got to put together one of these fall wreaths. So cute Magen!

3. Have a pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks.

4. Start making my Christmas cards, it's never too soon.

5. Make one of these oh-so-adorable belts.

6. My mantle needs these!

7. Buys some boots.

8. Watch "You've Got Mail".

9. Eat some candy corn.

10. Go on a walk with my husband.
