Thanksgiving and Scarfament

Our Thanksgiving yesterday was wonderful.
We ate...alot...

We had turkey, dressing, gravy, rolls, hashbrown casserole, corn pudding, roasted tomatoes, pecan pie, buttermilk pie, and pumpking cream pie. (and sweet tea of course!)

We were so full we didn't eat dinner...well except maybe a little snack on some pie ;)

We put some Christmas decorations up, our tree and our outside lights. We sat and watched football. I crocheted some presents, and we wrapped a few too.

Then, this morning, I got a lovely surprise. My scarfament package arrived!

My partner was Jacky from The Sweetest Petunia, and she made me the cutest ornaments and scarf!

I already put the lovely ornaments on my tree, and I can't wait to wear my scarf!

Thanks Jacky!

Anthropologie Inspired Snow Globes

Has anyone else seen these pretties at Anthropologie?

Well...I thought they were beautiful, and I decided to make some!
Anthro is selling them for $18 to $38, and I made them for about $4 each!! Great, huh?!

Here's my version...

You will need:
1. mason jars
2. Christmas decorations to go inside
3. white glitter
4. hot glue

First, you take the lids off of the mason jars and hot glue your Christmas decorations on the underside of the lids the way you want them.

Then, you pour your glitter into the jars.

Next, put a little bit of hot glue around the rim of the under side of the lids to secure it on the jar.

Screw your lids back on the jars and turn over to let the glitter sprinkle over your decorations!

Put out to enjoy!!

Handmade Holiday {felt bows}

Goodmorning everyone!
It's the first of my posts for "I'm having a handmade holiday" and I'm super excited!

The first little gift that I handmade this year is something for the four nieces that Jerry and I have....

These precious little bow hairclips! I'm just in love with them. They'll look so sweet in their hair!

There's two different styles...this one with the rounded edges...

and this one with the cut edges.

Both of these tutorials I found here from pinterest!

These are really simple to make, and don't take long AT ALL!
They're the perfect gift for any special little girls in your life! :)

Handmade Holiday

I'm going to be making most of my gifts this year for Christmas, and it seems like a lot of other people are too!

A few bloggers got together and created this lovely link up party that will be open from now until Christmas to post any handmade pretties you make!

From gifts to wrapping, gift tags, and decorations, post it all on the link up!

I'll be doing some posts on this very soon! :)

Crochet Inspiration

I think everyone knows how much I love to crochet...

but it's so addicting when there's so many lovely patterns and ideas out there!
The possibilities are endless!

Here's a few patterns that I've been wanting to try...

Slouchy hats are one of my favorite accessories, and this one is so pretty for the fall!

This headband is super cute for adults or little ones :)

I absolutely love the look of these fingerless gloves, and I've been needing a pair!

O goodness, this clutch is beautiful! And you can make it even more lovely by putting a different button or lining the inside with fabric.

How cute would this scrubbie be sitting by your kitchen sink?!

Love these super sweet baby washcloths!

And I love everything about this afghan, the color, the pattern...soo snuggly!

All patterns were found via ravelry (which is a great resource for crochet or knit patterns) except the last two that were found on pinterest!

Scarfament Swap

Hi everyone!!
I wanted to let you all know about something I got really excited about when I saw it this morning...

It's called Scarfament Swap!!

It's hosted by Danielle over at Take Heart.

Basically, you sign up to make a swap with a blogger friend of a scarf and an ornament! Fun right?!

Of course I'll be crocheting my scarf, but I want to try and hand make my ornament as well.

Wish me luck and go sign up!
