We Had A Party

This little girl turned one yesterday! If you don't know already ;) this is my niece, Bella! We had her party at our house, and had such a good time with family.

We went with a girly vintage theme, with pink, pearls, flowers and lace abounding everywhere. So naturally this is what her cake looked like...

The table was very pretty, with lots of yummy food. We had chocolate covered strawberries, cherry gelatin salad, grapes, nectarines, cheese, meat, crackers and spinach artichoke dip.

Everyone ate off of my vintage plate collection.

And we had flowers in a lovely pitcher.

Everyone drank out of ball jars with striped straws.

We also had a candy table for the party favors.

There were lots of pretty little shabby chic details...

...and a little girl with a ruffled hiney.

And she smashed her cake!

New Turban Headband

there's a new item in the shop!

the turban headband!!

it comes in three lovely colors of teal, mustard and barley.

it looks so cute with your hair up or down and is super soft and comfy!
i think it has the sweetest 1950's flare to it, and looks so vintage.
keeps your ears warm in the winter and light enough to wear as an accessory in the spring.
they are hand crocheted by me with 50% alpaca and 50% wool yarn.

check them out here!

My Week

i've been spending a lot of time in my craft room lately, making new shop items and things for my niece's 1st birthday party!
so these pictures can show you what it's like in there right now...

i have so much going on this week. here's a compilation of my week:

i have my normal studying to do. i'm trying to finish some more clutches to go in the shop. i got these two new books in (crafty superstar and handmade marketplace) to read up on how to grow my shop. such great books! so helpful. and as i mentioned, we're in the middle of planning my niece's 1st birthday party. it's vintage themed and very girly. we've been collecting vintage china and all sorts of other pretties for it! :) it will be sweet. i'm making her a birthday bunting and some other things for decoration as well. what a sweetie she is.

happy monday everyone! hope your week is great!

Our House {Vintage}

On Tuesday, we closed on our house!!!

We were soooo excited, we had a count down going.

Here's a few pics of our humble abode without boring you with blank wall photos. ha!

I just can't wait to start moving... and better yet decorating!
All of which will hopefully happen this weekend!

Speaking of decorating....

Over at Gussy's today, her inspiration is vintage!!

and o how you KNOW my love for VINTAGE!

So here's some vintage inspiration I found for the house...

I love this stand up vintage mirror just resting against the wall. I'm gonna have to go searching for one similar for our bedroom!

This collection of vintage frames on the mantle is such a pretty idea. Not to mention I have some great beach photos from our honeymoon ;)

I just love this little table and how a collection of vintage treasures is on it!

LOVE this idea of putting a vintage mirror over the sink! Will have to do!!

And this bedroom is so lovely...
We have a similar bedspread from Anthro already, and I've got the perfect window to hang! Alright!!

So stay tuned,
I'll be posting before and after's as I finish rooms!

Thanks for sharing in this journey with me!
